Homemade bread

Homemade bread in an argilla large oval roaster

1 kg white bread flour
10 ml sugar
20 g butter
15 ml salt
1 x 10g instant dry yeast
625 ml lukewarm water

Sift flour, salt, sugar and yeast together. Rub butter into dry ingredients. Add lukewarm water and mix to a soft dough. Add a little water if dough is too dry. Knead dough until soft and elastic. Put into greased bowl, cover and leave for 20 minutes to rise. Knead down, shape and put into a greased Argilla Large Oval Roaster bowl, Cover and leave to rise in a warm place for 35 ~ 40 minutes or until twice the size, Lightly rub with water and bake at 160 °C for 35 ~45 minutes or until done.
